Subzero and ice bound trade

In addition to conventional LNG shipping DLNG is focused on trading vessels in sub-zero, harsh weather and ice conditions. The company's Manager has steadily built up knowledge and experience in this field by transporting cargoes in areas where such conditions prevail. DLNG LNG Carrier fleet includes two vessels that are ice classed 1A FS and winterized. One of such Vessels namely the OB River is regularly lifting cargoes out of Prigorodnoye (Sakhalin Island, Russia) which is subject to ice during winter season.

Dynagas Ltd made history in 2012, when the LNG carrier Ob River became the world's first LNG Carrier to transit and carry a cargo through the Northern Sea Route (NSR). Subsequent to the above mentioned voyage the company is performing NSR voyages for LNG Carriers on a frequent basis as the only company in the world.

DLNG will continue to focus on growing its fleet by vessels that have the flexibility to trade in areas that are subject to sub zero conditions, harsh weather and ice bound areas. This is reflected in the company's optional fleet which all units have Ice Class 1A FS or equivalent notations.
